TELEPHONE TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS, INC. (T.T.S.) was organized under the laws and statutes of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico by its Chairman, Mr. Gilberto Alvarez, on July 15, 1987. The incorporators and shareholders are the directors of the Company.
The Company’s social security number is 660-43-8705. Since its beginnings T.T.S. has worked for the Puerto Rico Telephone Company (P.R.T.C.), known today as CLARO/PRTC, performing as certified contractors for this company for the past 33 years under Contractor No. 000000011.
During these years our company, T.T.S., has grown consistently and has become from a company of two employees to 80 employees on payroll and over 100 employees as Sub-Contractors.
As part of the work Telephone Technology Systems, Inc. has performed for the Puerto Rico Telephone Company we can mention the following: Infrastructure Installation, Maintenance and Outside Plant Construction. We also had done work on Fiber Optic Splicing, Man Holes Installation and Duct Run. We have been awarded simultaneously the Metro Central V Area and Metro West maintenance, and the Central Island construction Zone for which we complied with all specifications and requirements.
We have been support contractors in the East Area. Our mobile service units operate throughout the island.
Since 1995, facing the challenge of restructuring that experienced the “Puerto Rico Telephone Company” our main customer, we had to start a process of evaluation and reinvention to open the doors to new markets. After a lengthy analysis, we entered a transformation process to expand our services. From this arises the creation of an engineering department with subdivision of Electrical Engineering, Civil and Mechanical.
